Dr Bamji is a consultant rheumatologist practising at Chelsfield Park Hospital, Orpington and Sevenoaks Medical Centre. Until his retirement from the NHS in May 2011 he was consultant at Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup and also Director of the Elmstead Rehabilitation Unit. He qualified in 1973 and has been a consultant for 28 years. He was President of the British Society for Rheumatology from 2006-8.
